Bernie Sauceda

Bernie 'Mando' Sauceda passed away on March 17, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Mando was born on May 6, 1976, in Wenatchee, Washington. Mando graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1995. Mando was always ready to take a drive into the mountains to find new fishing spots, and along the way, he would capture beautiful pictures of the great outdoors or abandoned structures. It was his greatest joy to take each and every one of his nieces and nephews on their first of many fishing trips. He was always ecstatic to share any new vehicle upgrades he had made in the game, Off-road Truckers. Mando was always sharing pictures and stories of his nieces and nephews and their shenanigans on the family group chat and on social media. He was such a huge Metallica fan that he forced his siblings to listen to it until they also liked it. His parents will always remember coming out of their home and asking him, "What are you doing?" As he would be listening to Spanish music, he would say, "Letting the Mexican come out of me." He loved suggesting movies and shows to anyone who would listen. Some of his favorites were Cheech and Chong, Scarface, Bad Boys, and shows like Yellowstone. Mando loved to BBQ for family, friends, and anyone who was hungry. He loved to try new BBQ recipes and tweak them to perfection. He enjoyed family gatherings and comedy shows with family and friends. But his favorite hobby was fishing and camping. Mando made new friends everywhere he went. He also maintained friendships since elementary school. He had such a huge heart; he was always happy to lend a hand or help someone, not only because it was the right thing to do, but just because that's who he was. He made such a difference in so many lives, never asking for any notoriety or anything in return. His work ethic and dedication were like no other. Mando worked at Stan's Merry Mart for the last eight years, where he built many friendships with current and past coworkers. If you knew our brother, he was 420-friendly and ready to include anyone who was around. His niece and nephew knew it as his vitamins. If more people were like him, the world would be a better place. If he made a difference in your life, spread that love and kindness and keep his memory alive by holding and caring for others as he did. The light of the world shines a little dimmer now; a big, bright, beautiful soul has left this plane. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mauricio and Maria Diaz, and other family members. He is survived by his parents, Ruben and Valentina Sauceda, and his siblings, Lorie Sauceda, Michael Sauceda, Esperanza Sauceda-Sled, and Tomas Sauceda. He will forever be missed by his nieces and nephews, Ivan, Mauricio, Mia, Legend, and Layla. Mando absolutely loved and adored every single one of them, and his favorite title of all was Tio Nino. We encourage guests to wear their favorite band t-shirts for the funeral. Mando loved a good band t-shirt. Arrangements by Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
