David J. Ritter

David John Ritter, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and cousin was taken to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 26, 2015, after an extended struggle with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 66. He passed at home with his wife Stacie and Daughter Robin at his side. David was born on August 20, 1948, in Phoenix, AZ, to Alice and John Ritter. He was their second of four children and only son. David was from a large, close, and very loving family. He attended school in Olympia, WA, where he graduated from Olympia HS in 1965 and joined the Navy during the Vietnam War. It was In the Navy that he began his long career in radio communications and electronics. After being honorably discharged from the Navy in 1973, Dave lived in South Carolina where he was married to his first wife and in 1975 was blessed with his oldest son Jon. While raising Jon, he lived in Alaska, Olympia, Gray's Harbor, and Forks, WA, where he met his wife Stacie. They eventually settled in East Wenatchee where he was blessed again in 2003 with his second son Christopher, and his daughter Robin. David andStacie were married for 22 years and resided at their home on Badger Mountain. Dave began working for the state of Washington beginning in the early 90's and then for the Chelan County PUD in 1999 where he made many dear friends and eventually retired in 2011. He was known to enjoy sailing, swimming, fishing, hiking, camping, and hors back riding until his active lifestyle was limited by his illness. Together with his family, Dave also enjoyed raising various animals for food and fun on their small hobby farm. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel Fellowship in East Wenatchee for 16 years and it was there that he worshipped joyfully and faithfully served his Lord Jesus Christ in the children's ministry. David was preceded in death by his Mother Alice M. Hyland, his step father Marvin Hyland, and his father John B. Ritter. He is survived by His wife Stacie Ritter, his sons Jon and Chris Ritter, his daughter Robin Ritter, sisters Sue Jaggers, Nancy and her husband Steph Kotkins, and Carol Guyer, along with numerous loving step sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside Services for David will begin at 1:30 PM Friday, March 6, 2015 at Wenatchee City Cemetery with a reception to follow the service at Calvary Chapel Fellowship Church 2200 N. Baker in East Wenatchee. Please dress casual and comfortably. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley East Wenatchee, WA
