Donna Joy Meloy

Donna Joy (Burnham) Meloy Donna fought a battle with pancreatic cancer. She fought for a year and ten months. God has taken her home and freed her of all her pain. Donna was born September 14, 1943 to Orville and Roberta Burnham in Seattle. She attended Eastmont High School, graduating in 1961. She became a member of Calvary Bible Church for many years. She graduated in 1964 with the Multnomah School of the Bible with a Biblical Literature Degree. She was a Sunday school teacher and had a lot of respect for Calvary Bible Church and its pastor and members. She was a chairman of the Christmas Women's Fellowship Club out of Stonecraft MO and participated in this club for over 14 years in the Wenatchee Branch. Then later, Donna attended Seattle Pacific University for an English degree. While living in Portland Oregon, she married Jim Eacho. She had her precious first born son Dana Arthur in 1971. Her marriage to Jim ended in 1971. Donna moved back to Wenatchee, and worked for the Assessor's Office at the courthouse. She learned her computer skills and worked at the Chelan County Juvenile Department and then met the Love of her Life, Michael H. Meloy. She married the Love of her Life Michael in February 28, 1976. They combined their family, his two children Mark and Monica, and her son Dana. She was able to stay at home and be a full time mother to their children. They had a son Gregory Michael who was born November 1976. She was able to be a full time, stay at home Mom for 25 years which she loved. Mike and Donna took the children on camping trips to the ocean where they would go fishing and clam digging. They worked very hard to be good parents, and they were a great team together. After all the children graduated, Donna went to work for Kim Miller Farmers Insurance Agency. She worked there for about 10 years. She met a lot of good caring people and really enjoyed working for Kim. He was a great boss. Then retirement came and Mike and Donna were able to spend some winters in Florida with Mike's oldest brother and wife. They pulled their 30' Travel Trailer and took their 2 spoiled black labs to Florida. Donna loved her dogs. It was so wonderful for Mike and Donna to travel and spend times with his brother. Often they spent winters on the Oregon Coast. Mike loved the sea after serving 8 years in the Navy, and Donna loved to watch the big cargo ships coming down the Columbia River near Astoria, Oregon. They made many happy memories and shared good times together and with the children and grandchildren on the Ocean beaches. Donna is survived by her husband, Mike Meloy and her four children: Mark Meloy of E. Wenatchee; Monica Roberts of E. Wenatchee; Dana Burnham of Portland, Oregon; and Gregory Meloy & his wife Judit of Portland. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Breanna, Seth, Lishé, Malachi, Ona, Emma, and one great-grandchild; Myla. Two Brothers Levoy G Burnham wife Sylvia of East Wenatchee. Robert K. One Aunt Joyce (Joy) Sutherland of St. Charles, MO Three Cousins Judy, Pam and Cathy and their families of St. Charles MO Donna is survived by many loving friends and family members and members of the Calvary Bible Church. Services for Donna will begin at 10:30 AM Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Telford's Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee with Graveside to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, East Wenatchee, WA.
