Donna B. Neely

Donna B (Jackson) Neely was born July 10, 1944 to James and Solia (Caudill) Jackson in Wenatchee Washington. She attended first grade in Peshastin WA until her family moved to East Wenatchee where she graduated from high school in 1962. Donna married Willis Neely on August 27, 1965. They had three children, Michael Shane Neely 1966, Rocky Allen Neely 1969, and Wendy Renae 1974. Donna was a wife, homemaker and "chauffeur" for her family until 1987. Then in October of 1987 Donna went to work for the Wenatchee School District as a Para-Educator working with special needs children. Donna worked in the classrooms and playgrounds for 11 years before she began working in transportation for special education students. Donna loved her "special kids" as she referred to them, and had very lasting and loving memories of them. Donna retired from the Wenatchee School District in June 2009 at the age of 65. Donna was a very devoted mother and grandmother that tried very hard to create treasured memories with her family. She was blessed with three granddaughters and four grandsons. She loved the outdoors, camping and liked to read in her spare time. She was thrilled when Willis got their first motorhome, because she cherished her time traveling and seeing all of God's wonderful creations. She regularly attended the worship services of The Salvation Army of Wenatchee. Donna was the youngest of seven children. Gerald Jackson, Lola (Jim) Ritch, Peggy (Cecil) Ritch, and John Jackson, Ruth (Lloyd) Reed and Flora (Bob) Banning. She is preceded into heaven by her dad James, her mom Solia, her sister Ruth, her brothers Jerry and John. Our family would especially like to thank her devoted health-care aides Antilia, Veronica and Cecilia along with the amazing hospice care given by Amanda, Maria and the other gracious hospice staff. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel of the Valley, 302 9th Street, Wenatchee. Concluding services and interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Viewing will be prior to the service from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army. Arrangements are by Chapel of the Valley, Wenatchee.
