Doris Gloria Baughman January 30, 1923 ~ February 27, 2015 On February 27, 2015, our Mother, Doris Gloria Baughman, went to be with our Lord and Savior. She was born January 30, 1923, in Waubun, MN to her parents, Glenn Bass and Lillie Bauman. During World War II, she moved to Decatur, IL and worked in the Caterpillar plant as a machinist. While there, she earned her single engine pilot's license and joined the Civil Air Patrol. In 1945, she moved to Washington with her father, step-mother and two half-sisters. She worked as a waitress when she first came to Moses Lake, WA. She met Dean Baughman and married him in May, 1947. After her marriage to Dean Baughman, she worked a number of places in Moses Lake, one being Grants, while raising her family of four children. She had two daughters, Linda Link, and Deanna Corbaley, and two sons, Lawrence and Maurice Baughman. She lived in Moses Lake until 1966, when they moved to the Wenatchee Valley. She and Dean were involved in coordinating the yearly USS Kitkun Bay Reunions all over the U.S. They were members of the East Wenatchee VFW and mom held an office there. During her time in Wenatchee, she worked at The Sassy Shop and at J C Penney. She volunteered at Central Washington Hospital as a Pink Lady. We will miss her and her humor. God bless all of you who befriended our Mom. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Christina Link, Richard (AlyssaMarie) Link, Gary (Charlotte) Corbaley, and Marcia Corbaley; and four great-grandchildren, Amber, Joey, Andy, and Cora Link. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Bauman Bass; her father, Glenn Bass; and three sisters, Lorene Handley, Velda Ruth and Opal Schwab. She also lost her two sons, Lawrence and Maurice; her husband, Dean M. Baughman; and one grandson, Dean Corbaley. A Funeral Service will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee on Friday, March 6, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Concluding Services and Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Pioneer Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Moses Lake, WA. The casket will remain closed at all times. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, North Tower, 100 West Harrison Street, N200, Seattle, WA 98119; or Cancer Care of NCW Inc., 1708 Castlerock Ave., Wenatchee, WA 98801. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
