Dorothy Belle McCulley

In Celebration of Dorothy McCulley October 5, 1925 ~ June 11, 2015 Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 11, 2015, with her loving family by her side. Dorothy was born on October 5, 1925, in Chicago, IL to George and Odessa Graves. She moved with her family to Washington as a baby. Dorothy attended school in Okanogan, WA. Dorothy and LeRoy became sweethearts from the time they met at the young ages of 14 and 16. They were married on October 19, 1943, and in 2010, they celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. They had five daughters, Sherry Marker, Barbara Repass, Victoria Rose, Debi Truitt, and Pam Royce. Mom worked at various jobs, one of which at United Control in Seattle, where she soldered microscopic parts for aerospace for a decade. However, her greatest accomplishment was raising her five daughters to know and love Jesus, and never missing an opportunity to witness to family, friends and strangers. Many were blessed by knowing our mother. Dorothy is survived by sisters, Dolly Estes, Delores Townsend, and Shirlee Radezky; sister-in-law, Lavern Roberts; daughters, Barbara Repass, Victoria (Larry) Rose, Debi Truitt, and Pam (Ray) Royce; grandkids, Duane (Kathy) Marker, Tammy (Brian) Crook, Teresa Flynn, Cindy Tomlinson, Danell Reiman, Melissa (Jake) Lyons, Leah (Ron) Adams, Megan Rose, Jonathan (Amber) Rose, Eric Truitt, Candice Truitt, Natoshia and Joshua Duran, and Brook Sotero; great-grandkids, Eli, Alex, and Addison Lyons, Levi, David, Alexandria, Josiah, and Noah Adams, Isaiah, Judah, and Samuel Rose, Emma Bailly Rose, Araeya Malaki, Evie Truitt, Angel, Jaeden, Gage, and Shyi Duran, Allysa and Eli Duran, and Natalie, Lyla, and Ellie Sortero. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy McCulley; daughter, Sherry Marker; and great-grandkids, Michael Crook, Kendal Marker and Isaac Adams. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at the Free Methodist Church, 1601 Fifth Street in Wenatchee. A Graveside Service for Dorothy will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Omak Memorial Cemetery in Okanogan, WA. Arrangements by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
