Earnestine Weaver

Earnestine went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2016 after a long, courageous fight with cancer. She was born on October 10, 1946, in Summit, AR, to Ben and Ruby Wood. Earnestine was born and raised in Arkansas and that is where she married her husband, David, on March 16, 1963. She had two children: Boyd and Melissa. David and she moved to the Wenatchee Valley in 1978. She went to work for the Wenatchee Valley Clinic as a billing clerk and retired there after 19 years. After retirement, she and David enjoyed traveling to Arkansas to visit her son, Boyd and grandchildren. She enjoyed working outside in her garden and prepping her yard every year to grow summer flowers. Earnestine's true love and passion was telling everyone she encountered about the love and grace of God. She loved going to church and studying God's Word the most. She became a member at Eastmont Assembly of God in 1985. Being able to host Bible studies and visiting with her church family were highlights in her life after retirement. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and often traveled to sporting events with her family. Over the last two years since her diagnosis, Earnestine fought courageously and tirelessly to spend as much time as possible with her family here on earth. She leaves behind her daughter, Melissa Banning and son-in-law, Randy Banning; her grandchildren: Zach and Kathryn Banning, MacKenzie and Jacob Osburn who are expecting Earnestine's first great-grandchild, Lucas Banning, Vivie Weaver and Cort Weaver; her seven sisters and one brother in Arkansas; and dear friend and traveling companion Chuck Taylor. Preceding her in death were her husband, David Weaver and her son, Boyd Weaver. Also preceding her were her parents; one sister; and brother. A Funeral Service will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Concluding services and interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Viewing will be Thursday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
