Glory Ann Gnagy

Glory Ann Gnagy, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away March 6, 2009, at Central Washington Hospital, surrounded by her family, after a sudden illness. She was born September 13, 1948, in Wenatchee, WA to Arnold and Lavonne Hanson. She graduated from Eastmont High school in 1967, and received her AA degree as an X-Ray Technologist from Wenatchee Valley College in 1970. She worked in this field in Western Washington, Bozeman, MT and for the past 33 years at Central Washington Hospital. She enjoyed her job and would often mention how she learned something new every week. Her caring nature showed in how she treated her patients. She married Ken Wilmoth in 1970, and they raised two children, a son, Kable born in 1973, and a daughter, Joa, born in 1975. She was proud of her children and was their biggest cheerleader, following their accomplishments closely as they grew up, and was always there for them. She delighted in her grandchildren when they came along. Glory loved life and people. She was a petite lady, full of charm and personality. She had an easy laugh and cherished her many friends, who loved her in return. She was friendly, down to earth, easy to talk to and a loyal friend. Most of all, Glory loved her family, they were everything to her. She met the love of her life, Michael Gnagy, in 1992. They were soulmates from the beginning and married on May 11, 1997. There is never enough time, but Glory and Mike made the most of the time they had together. Some of their greatest joys were the many trips to the Oregon Coast; Fort Stevens State Park, Beverley Beach, Lincoln City and her favorite destination, Beach Side State Park. They were never happier than when planning their next vacation or camping get-together with the kids and grandkids. Glory loved flowers and gardening and kept a beautiful house. Her beloved dogs, Maggie, Rudy and Molly, had a special place in her heart.We will all miss Glory more than words can say and we are grateful for the time we were able to spend with her. The memories of all weve shared have helped us through this difficult time and will continue to comfort us through our loss.She was preceded in death by her mother, Lavonne Hanson; maternal grandparents, Esther and Art Hoppel; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Mabel Hanson; her nephew, Ryan Hanson; and beloved dog, Maggie Mae. She is survived by her husband, Michael Gnagy of Wenatchee; her father, Arnold Hanson of East Wenatchee; a son, Kable Wilmoth (Kerri) of Bellingham; a daughter, Joa Dilks (Ryan) of Groton, CT; a sister, Lisa Hanson (Lou Greenlee) of Lake Wenatchee; a brother, Larry Hanson of Monroe, WA;step-daughters, Christa Roozen (Brandon) of Mt. Vernon and Miriam Calhoun (Cory) of Seattle; seven grandchildren, Riley, Hunter, Corbin and Nia Dilks, Spencer and Chase Wilmoth and Jaxon Roozen; and nephews, Jake and Nick Hanson.A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, with Central Washington Hospital Chaplain Scott Longager officiating. Memorials may be made, if desired, to the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society or the Central Washington Hospital Capital Campaign. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
