Jesse J. Anderson

Jesse J. Anderson, 78, of East Wenatchee, WA, died at his home November 3, 2016. He was born October 20, 1938, to Oscar and Lois Anderson in Hanson, OK. He moved to Yakima, WA, when he was ten years old and attended school in Union Gap and Yakima, WA. After finishing school, he married his sweetheart, Nina Smith, on June 29, 1957. Jesse joined the Ironworkers Union and worked on most of the dams on the Columbia River. He and Nina moved to Quincy, WA, and then to East Wenatchee, where he decided to purchase land and start his orchard career. He continued ironworking until their orchards began producing. Jesse won numerous awards for the variety of apples his orchards produced over the years. Jesse retired from the orchard business in 2012. Jesse enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his sons, father, nephews and friends. They created many wonderful, and at times, funny experiences during these many trips. Jesse also enjoyed his trips to Mill Bay with Nina, his parents and sisters. He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Daryl Anderson; parents, Oscar and Lois Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Nina Anderson; son, Steven Anderson of East Wenatchee, WA; grandsons: Beau (Mackenzee) Anderson of Royal City, WA, Tyler Anderson of Wenatchee, WA, Dane Anderson of East Wenatchee, WA; granddaughter: Ashley Anderson of San Diego, CA; great-granddaughter, Rubee Anderson of Royal City, WA; sisters: Carolyn Davis and Beverly (Michael) Crowner, both of East Wenatchee, WA; daughters-inlaw, Nannette Saint and Angie Coles, both of East Wenatchee, WA; plus numerous loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Wenatchee Confluence Oncology Department, Home Health Services and Hospice services for their kindness and support. Services will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Viewing is from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, services following the viewing at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life reception will be held immediately following the service at the Highlander Golf Club House located at 2920 - 8th Street SE, East Wenatchee, WA, 98802, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
