Jesse Tollackson

Jesse Devitt Tollackson, 30, of Waterville, passed away on June 14, 2024. Jesse was born February 11, 1994 to Ron & Jona Tollackson in Wenatchee and was raised in Waterville. Jesse attended Waterville School from Pre-K through his senior year, where he enjoyed choir, band, golf, and football. Unbeknownst to most, Jesse could sing and was one heck of a drummer; his love for music never left. After graduating high school, Jesse attended North Idaho College to pursue a degree in HVAC, where he excelled in his career. Jesse spent a few years living in Idaho before moving back to Waterville to be closer to family and friends. Growing up, Jesse was known as “Chatman” because he never stopped talking, a trait that carried on throughout his life. He seemed quiet to some, but once you got him going there was no stopping the chatter. He would be the first one to crack a joke and bring you to tears with laughter. No matter the situation, he always had something smart to say. In 2019 Jesse became a dad for the first time when his daughter Jaylah was born. He beamed with pride and couldn’t stop telling everyone how she belonged in magazines because she was so beautiful. In 2022 Jesse became a dad again and he couldn’t have been more excited to have a son, Trypp, his own little mini-me. Little did anyone know, Jesse would have to play the part of the OBGYN and deliver Trypp himself on the side of the road, a story he couldn’t wait to tell. Jaylah and Trypp were Jesse’s entire world, he loved them so much and showed that love daily. Jesse was always a little bit of a free spirit, eager to find the next adventure and ready to do anything if the opportunity presented itself. He spent most of his time outdoors where he found joy in hiking with his kids, hunting trips with his brothers, fixing fence, roaming pastures and sitting around a fire singing. Time spent with family was the most important thing to him, especially in recent years as he kept his circle small. Jesse was also extremely smart; from building his own computer to being the go-to for math homework help and all things electrical, numbers and HVAC. Jesse’s smile, demeanor, character, witty sense of humor, classic one liners and giant heart will be greatly missed by those that loved him. A day will not pass where he is not thought of or his name isn’t spoken. Jesse was the best daddy, brother, son and uncle anyone could have ever asked for. Jesse is survived by his two greatest blessings, daughter Jaylah Tollackson & son Trypp Tollackson; parents Ron (Mysti) Tollackson & Jona (Dan Love) Tollackson; siblings Orin (Billye) Tollackson, Casey (Gavin) Daling, Tyler (Kelsey) Tollackson & Ally Tollackson (all of Waterville); Girlfriend Sarah Cunning; Mothers of his children Briana Hinderer & Summer Barnhill; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Jesse is preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas & Helen Thompson and cousin Dylan Tollackson. The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life in July.
