Jodie Moore

Jodie M. Moore went to be with Jesus, surrounded by her children, on June 14, 2021. Jodie was born July 7, 1963, in Dallas, TX, where she was adopted by Jerry and Margaret Bartram. In 1968, the Bartram's moved to East Wenatchee, WA, where she was raised in an apple orchard. She grew up playing softball as a catcher in league and school. She graduated from Eastmont High School in 1981. She was active in church from a small age, where she met Dan Moore. They grew up together, as Dan was her brother's best friend. They fell in love and were married on June 4, 1982, at the Wenatchee Valley Baptist Church, where they were members. They moved to Spokane, WA, for a short time, where they had a daughter, in 1985. They moved back to East Wenatchee, WA, shortly after and had a son, in 1986. Jodie worked in nursing homes when her kids were small. She started working as a para educator for Eastmont School District and was there for 18 years. She later, went back to school and received a double major to become a special education teacher. She worked at Foothills Middle School for five years and in 2010, she received a position as an educator at Mountain View Elementary in Quincy, WA. While teaching, she received her Master's degree in reading. She was also an active member in church. She was a longtime member at Wenatchee Valley Baptist Church and later, at Eastmont Baptist Church. At Eastmont, she served as a Sunday School teacher in the youth group and was a part of the worship team alongside her husband, Dan. In her free time, Jodie loved being outside; whether it was coaching soccer, camping, fishing, or riding her motorcycle. Dan and Jodie were a part of the Norwestars, where they made lifelong friends and great memories. She loved her family and friends and loved spending time with them. Jodie is survived by her daughter, Danielle Harum (Nathan Heath) of East Wenatchee, WA; son, Brad Moore (Nicole Moore) of Moses Lake, WA; grandchildren: Shane, Kylee, Urijah and Riley; sisters-in-law: Cindy Bartram, Janette Smith, and Rita Dirk; along with nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Dan Moore; parents, Jerry and Margaret Bartram; brothers: Chris and Tim Bartram; parents, Jerry and Margaret Bartram; and Dan's parents, Harold and Ometa Moore. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., at Eastmont Baptist Church, 400 S. Kentucky Ave., East Wenatchee, WA. Arrangements are by Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee. WA.
