Joyce Regehr

Joyce Regehr, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at Central Washington Hospital while surrounded by family. She was born in Spokane. WA on January 29, 1930, to Evelyn and Gustav Rudningen. She joined her older brother Gale and completed their family. She graduated from Deer Park High School in 1947 and attended Kinman Business School in Spokane. In 1952, Joyce met and married Harold Fine. This marriage produced six children: Debrah, Rhonda, Diane, Duane, Timmy, and Pam. She was a very loving and nurturing mother to her young children while living in Spokane. She gave everything she had to make sure her babies had what they needed. She met and married Leonard Regehr of Wenatchee and they were married in 1965. Joyce and her children moved to East Wenatchee and they became a blended family adding his two sons, Brian and Sydney. Leonard and Joyce were married for 50 years before his passing in 2015. Leonard and Joyce attended the Wenatchee Free Methodist church as newlyweds with their children. In later years, they were members of Bethel Baptist Church, which was their home congregation for several years before their health made it difficult to attend. Joyce had a large family with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. She loved each and every one of her family members dearly. Joyce is survived by her children - Debbie Bennett, Rhonda Olson, Diane Stufflebeam (Dave), Duane Regehr (Lisa), Pam Baker, Brian Regehr (Chris Ann), and Sydney Regehr (Anita). She has 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband Leonard, her mother, father, brother, infant son Timmy, and great-grandson, Lucas Ruiz. The family thanks the staff at Prestige Senior Living in East Wenatchee for your kindness and care over the past several months while Joyce resided there. In addition, we thank the staff at CWH that compassionately cared for Joyce in her final days, and also cared for us as a family. Arrangements by Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
