Kirk Slatta

Kirk Kenneth Slatta of East Wenatchee, WA passed away at Central Washington Hospital on July 11th, 2023, at 4:07 pm. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife, two children, and with their significant others. Kirk was born at Saint Antony’s Hospital on April 30th, 1967, in Wenatchee, Washington to his loving parents Lauren Eugene Slatta and Corrine Adeline Pfau. Kirk was the surviving of premature twins at 3lbs and a collapsed lung. Unfortunately, his twin Kent passed after birth at 1.5 lbs. Kirk grew up in the Wenatchee Valley with his parents and siblings, Connie, and Neal. Growing up in the valley he went to several schools in the Eastmont school district. Just like their grandpa, his grandchildren Andrew, Ashton, and KaraLynne attended Kenroy Elementary School. Kirk graduated from Eastmont High School in 1985. Kirk was a part of the Drama Club and on the Wrestling team. Kirk met his wife in 1985 when Jennifer was going on a walk, but they didn’t get married till December 28th, 1989. After graduating he attended Phoenix Institute of Technology. In 1987, he graduated with his Drafting degree. He pursued multiple careers including a mechanic, owning his own business, and working for the state of New Mexico as a home inspector. Kirk lived a life filled with love and did his best to always share that love and support with his family. The loss of this beloved family figure is felt by his sister Connie, and her daughter Sierra, his brother Neal along with his wife, Celia, and their children, Ivan, and Audrey. His wife Jennifer, their son Kevin, his fiancée Drea, and their five children; Stephen, Trystan, Kylee, Maralyn, and Emilie. His daughter Summer along with her significant other Jacob, and their three children; Andrew, Ashton, and Roxy. His son Clayton along with his fiancée, Viviana, and their four children; KaraLynne, Logan, Mahliah, and Natalie. The family invites you to share in the celebration of Kirk's life, Wednesday, September, 20, 12:00pm, noon, at Chapel of the Valley, 378 Eastmont Ave., East Wenatchee. Following the service, will be a Memorial Celebration from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at Horan Winery, 15 2nd St Suite 101, Wenatchee. *Please wear blue for the service as that was Kirk's favorite color* Wine available at your own purchase.
