Leah Kim Clark

Leah Kim Clark, 60, of Wenatchee WA, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2022, from breast cancer. Leah was born on July 15, 1961, in Seoul, South Korea, and adopted in 1963, through Holt International by Arnie P. and Mary V. Clark of Wenatchee. Leah attended Wenatchee Valley schools and was a 1979 graduate from Wenatchee High School, where her outgoing personality and athletic ability earned her a spot on the Applettes dance team. Leah had a flair for fashion and style which naturally led her to the field of cosmetology. She enrolled and graduated from The Academy of Hair design and worked at It's Your Hair salon in Wenatchee and Quincy, WA. Ready for a career change, she scaled back her clientele and registered at Wenatchee Valley College with an interest in the Radiology Tech program. Needing money for education and being a hard worker, Leah took a job working on a processing boat out of Dutch Harbor, AK, where she returned to Wenatchee and joined Confluence Health working in the radiology department. When Leah's health could no longer allow her to work, she found comfort volunteering at Calvary Crossroads Church and Our House Cancer Care NCW. She worked for the Mandarin, Steven's, AMPM, as a nannie, Wenatchee Valley Senior Center Thrift Shop, and San Francisco Sourdough Eatery. All through Leah's life, she made friends wherever she went; some of these friendships became lifelong relationships that were more like family. Through all of Leah's health issues, she rarely complained and continually had a zest for life, always up for adventure and a good meal. She enjoyed attending church, cooking, and eating her creations with friends, playing bingo and being the caller, camping, and going out to eat. She loved all cats, especially her beloved Cece and Mortimer. Leah will be remembered for her flawless style; hair just right and looking fashionable wearing black, her quick wit, infectious laugh, making up her own words and songs, and above all, being a great friend and listener. Leah was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brother: Shirley Carmichael, Janice Clark, and Arnie B. Clark. She is survived by her sister, Anna Clark Kim (Paul) of Alaska.
