Linda N. Bailey

Linda Noreen Bailey, a long-time resident of the Wenatchee Valley, passed away on August 14, 2016. She was born in Seattle on August 6, 1943, and lived in numerous towns in the Pacific Northwest, until settling in Cashmere, where she graduated from high school in 1961. Following graduation, Linda attended beauty school in Bellingham, WA, prior to setting up a shop in East Wenatchee, WA. After ten years as a beauty operator, she moved into sales associate work at People's Dept. Store in Wenatchee. Over the years, Linda was a highly valued sales employee at Sears, Lamont's and Eastmont Pharmacy, before retiring in the early 2000's. Linda married her high school sweetheart, Jack L. Bailey, in 1964, in Cashmere, WA. She joined him in San Diego, CA, following the wedding, before they moved back to East Wenatchee at the end of his naval duties. Jack worked at Alcoa, before retiring in 2003. Linda and Jack had a wonderfully happy marriage; one in which they joyfully shared the same birthday. They enjoyed the natural beauty of the valley and especially the opportunities to boat and water ski with their many special friends at Crescent Bar. They traveled frequently within the United States, enjoying car trips to Florida, West Virginia, Nevada, Arizona (to see the Mariners' spring practices) and frequently, along the Oregon coast. Linda was pre-deceased by her husband, Jack; by her parents, Peter and Margaret Bosch; her brother, Donald Masten; and her sister, Marlene (Jim) Grimes. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie (Chuck) Sanders of East Wenatchee, WA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Laura Bailey of Cashmere, WA; nephews, Steve (Bonnie) Robinson of North Carolina and Brian (Danielle) Bailey of Cashmere, WA; and nieces Taya (Mark) Eaton of Yakima, WA, and Dominique Hampton of Gig Harbor, WA. Linda also had numerous, other beloved nephews and nieces. The family would especially like to thank the caring staff at Highgate Senior Living and Central Washington Hospice for all of their kindness and consideration on Linda's behalf. Also, they would like to acknowledge the many special and caring lifetime friends of Linda. As per her wishes, no funeral services will be held. Arrangements are assisted by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
