Matt Pryor

Matt Pryor passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Matthew Scott Pryor was born on April 14, 1985, to Scott and Stacey Pryor in Omak, WA. He was joined by younger brother, Travis, whom he loved very much, in June of 1987. The family lived in several parts of the state of Washington before settling and making their home in Wenatchee, where Matt graduated from Wenatchee High School in 2003. Growing up, Matt enjoyed many activities including: playing baseball, snowboarding and skateboarding, which he took up when he was 13. And boy! did he love skateboarding, which opened the biggest door of his life when he met future wife and love of his life, Savannah Michael, at the local skatepark. Matt and Savannah were married on a beautiful fall day, September 21st of 2013. The family of three, which included the best girl, Matt's beloved Siberian Husky, Sleet, soon became a family of four when first son, Landon Claude, was born in 2016. The blessings continued to come as they grew to five with the arrival of Gage Scott, in 2018. Even as a small boy, Matt had an interest in trucks and it was a high point in his life when his father taught him how to drive a big rig, which became his career. He enjoyed several trucking jobs before finding his true calling when he became a fuel hauler, hauling that “freedom fuel” as he always called it. He truly loved his work and was good at it. Matt was a wonderful and beloved husband, son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He worked hard and even after a long day, he always showed up for everyone and everything. Matt was always there to lend a helping hand or encouraging word. He truly had the most golden of hearts and was quick to make a friend anywhere he went. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Scott Pryor. He is survived by wife, Savannah Joye Pryor, and two sons: Landon and Gage Pryor; mother, Stacey Pryor; brother, Travis Pryor; and many other friends and family members who love and miss him profoundly. Though he may be gone from this earth, we rejoice in the hope that we be reunited with him again in Eternity! “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. Rev. 21:4” A Celebration of Matt's Life will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Pioneer Skate Park in Wenatchee, WA. Arrangements by Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
