Paul E Adams

Paul E. Adams passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, in East Wenatchee, WA. He succumbed to cancer after a courageous year-long battle. Paul was born on November 2, 1965, in Moses Lake, WA. The family moved to East Wenatchee, where he attended school until his family moved to Alaska. He returned to East Wenatchee, where he attended school and graduated from Eastmont High School in 1984. Paul was an exceptional athlete. He excelled in baseball and football, from Little League, Babe Ruth, to Eastmont High School. In his senior year, his batting average was 500, which earned his team a trip to the King Dome for AA State berth. He was a standout as the “Cats” fullback in football. After one year at Wenatchee Valley College, where he played football for the Knights, he enlisted in the United States Marines. He spent his boot camp at Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA, following his Dad and Grandfather. A third-generation Marine, Paul graduated with the highest honors bestowed on a recruit, the “Company Honorman” award. Paul was considered the recruit who displayed the highest degree of skill, military knowledge and leadership potential in his company. He chose to go to Marine Detachment, Fort Lenord Wood, Missouri, to earn his certification in Construction and Heavy Equipment Operator’s Course. In 1987, he was appointed to the rank of Lance Corporal. When his service ended, Paul moved to Alaska to start his civilian career at Federal Express Hub as an aircraft loadmaster, where he was awarded several “Bravo Zulu” awards for exceptional work. Paul later moved to Vancouver, WA, where he resided for the last 27 years before his death. He continued his education and earned an AA degree from Clark Community College in Addiction Counselor Education, where he graduated with Phi Theta Kappa Society honors. He then went to Washington State University, Vancouver, to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Human Development. He was very active in helping people with addiction. Paul was very proud to have celebrated his 25-year anniversary of being clean and sober. Paul was a devoted friend, leader and had a strong conviction in his Christian faith. He was a very loving son, brother, and uncle. He will be deeply missed by all. His family is very grateful to his team of people who never wavered through his cancer journey. They were always there. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Gwen Adams; a brother, Jack Adams Jr.; and a sister, Charlene (Ward) Adams. He is survived by his sisters Kristine Felty (Ron), Dorene Sannes (Wayne), Beth Southwick; brother, Sandy Adams; and his beloved Frenchie dog, Junior. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Evergreen Mausoleum, 1301 10th Street NE, East Wenatchee, WA. Please join the family after the service for fellowship and light refreshments at the LDS Church, 667 10th Street NE, East Wenatchee, WA.
