Robert Alan Smith

Robert "Bobby" Alan Smith Jr., age 34, of Wenatchee, WA, went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 5th, 2018. Bobby was born to Robert Alan Smith and Sonja Lorree Olson on October 12, 1983 in Santa Maria, California. He moved up to Washington at the age of three and would soon settle into his beloved childhood home in Omak with his mother and siblings. Bobby talked often of his childhood and had a collection of stories about the neighborhood mischief he got into, and the great adventures he had as a boy. His younger brother, Cory, was his constant companion, and his best friend, Tievon Tachell, lived just across the street. Bobby attended Omak High School, as well as Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle, WA. In 2007, Bobby started his position as a Wastewater Operator for the City of Cashmere. He stayed dedicated to his title and planned to retire in his position. Bobby's heart unleashed a new kind of love on February 3rd, 2008 when he became a father to Olivia Smith. In 2011, he was reacquainted with a close friend of the family, Jeri Grant. They fell in love and were married on February 18th of 2012. He became a step-father to her three children: Dylan, Faith, and Laci Grant. Bobby and Jeri went on to have two daughters together: Scarlett and Rain. The unity and strength of their blended family grew in the commitment to their marriage, in the love shared between all six siblings, and in the authentic faith they had in Jesus Christ. They were members of Calvary Crossroads church in Wenatchee. Bobby was soft-hearted. He was an introvert that found absolute joy in spending time with his family in his backyard, grilling on his Weber and watching his wife and children relax and play. He was a jack-of-all trades who could build and fix anything. His garage was any guy's envy, and he was passionate about working on his home and in his yard. He was a true gardener, and each spring the garden expanded "just a little bit more." He had a smile that lit up every room and always greeted everyone with a hug. To know Bobby, was to love him. Bobby Smith was preceded in death by his mother, Sonja Signor (Olson); his brother-in-law, Chris Strain; and his best friend, Tievon Tachell. He is survived by his wife: Jeri Smith; Children: Olivia, Scarlett and Rain; Stepchildren: Dylan, Faith and Laci Grant; Father: Robert Smith; Siblings: Therisa Knapp, Shamrae Strain, Corina Smith, and Cory Smith; Grandparents: Ted and Linda Olson and Ruthie Byrd; Nieces: Mackelci Ashbrooks, Kaila Smith, Ashlie Smith; Nephews: Kaleb Strain and Dyllon Routien. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 at Calvary Crossroads Church at 1301 Maple St in Wenatchee. Arrangements assisted by Chapel of the Valley, Wenatchee.
