Sharon E. Ward

Sharon Ward December 20, 1940 - February 1, 2016 On Monday, February 1, 2016, we lost our beloved GG. It is impossible to put into words how amazing she was. She was Christmas, birthdays, and all things good wrapped up into one tiny little fireball body! She was a walking veterinarian, nurse, sprinkler fixer and auto tech. If your dog was sick, you called GG. If you had a bad tummy, you called GG. If you wanted to make potato soup, you called GG. She knew so much about so many things! She was married to our Dad/Grandpa for just short of 50 years. During their last years, his health was poor. She nursed him and loved him until the day he passed away 13 years ago. And she still talked about him like he was in the next room. She taught every one of us how to be strong and independent. At the same time, no one ever went hungry or struggled. GG rescued each of us at more than one time in our lives. She also rescued many of our friends as well. But if we needed a stern talking to, she was pretty good at that too. She was an animal lover and passed that along to all of us. There was never a time that there wasn't a couple of dogs and cats around. Dad would tell her "NO", but he couldn't resist a cute furry face any more than the rest of us. At the time of her passing, she had Casey and Katie, her two schnauzers that she sometimes seemed to love more than us kids. They passed with her and will be with her always. Lucky Dogs! GG just celebrated her 75th Birthday on December 20, 2016. She was having a hard time believing that she was three quarters of a century old. We wish with all of our hearts that she could have been with us longer. The thought that she is with Dad in heaven makes it a little easier. We would like to extend a very special thanks to the firemen and first responders that treated our Mom, as well as us, with respect and compassion. And finally, thank you, Aunt Barb, for dropping everything anytime Mom needed you. You are an angel! GG is survived by her daughter, Roxie Page and husband, Dave Page; daughter, Evietta Inabnit, and her sons Colton and Grant; Colton's beautiful baby boy, Kaiden; her grandchildren, whom she and Dad raised from a very young age, Joshua and Jennifer Ward; granddaughter, Nikki and husband Jason Henkel, their two beautiful daughters, Taylor and Kylie. (When Taylor and Kylie were born she became GG. She preferred that over great-grandma); her sister and husband, Barb and Leroy Asher; brother and wife, Duane and Jo Beattie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rossell Ward; daughter, Suzan Ward; mother, Birdie Beattie; sister, Lavonne Stanly; and brother, Artie Beattie. There will be a gathering place for friends and family to share memories of our Mom/Grandma with us that will be announced as soon as arrangements have been made. Arrangements are assisted by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
