Wayne M. O'Brian

Wayne Mason O'Brian, fifth and youngest child born to Eunice Marion [Gladstone] and Carman Burt 'Mike' O'Brian in Ogdensburg, NY, (7/23/1958) entered into rest on August 5, 2018, in Wenatchee, WA after an extended illness. Wayne moved to Wenatchee, WA when he was 2 years old, then to Colusa, CA where he lived until he graduated from Colusa High School in 1977, and then moved to Tucson, AZ with his mom. Wayne started his career in Colusa as a meat cutter working for Frank's Meats, then continued that career in Tucson and at Safeway in Wenatchee and finished his meat-cutting career as the meat manager at the Cashmere Safeway until it's closing. Wayne then worked with his dad and brother Steve as an industrial painter and sandblaster, finally owning his own industrial/residential sandblasting and painting company. Wayne met and married his wife of 36 years, Tammi [McGee] in 1982. They had three children, Krystin, Amelynda (Ame), and Daniel (Danny). The family moved to the Entiat Valley in the early 1990's, where Wayne resided until his death. Wayne's favorite things included family, friends, fishing, boating, camping, and he loved listening to music, especially enjoyed attending the annual Blues Festival in Winthrop. He loved the Voice, the Seahawks, and the ID channel. Wayne was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, aunts & uncles, brothers Steve and William (Bill) O'Brian, and his best buddy, Jay. He is survived by his wife, children Krystin (Bret) Gimmestad, Amelynda 'Ame' O'Brian (Jeff Weathersby), Daniel (Laine) O'Brian, sister Linda (Barry) Eggert, brother Larry (Theresa) O'Brian, step mom Donna O'Brian, step-sisters Barbara (Michael) Garrett, Kelly (Paul) Hodgin, and grandchildren Kaden Muchado, Rhea Grace & Elly Mari Gimmestad, and Neala Paige O'Brian, and several nieces and nephews, and cousins in New York. A graveside service will be held for Wayne at the Entiat Cemetery on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Entiat Volunteer Fire Fighters who always took excellent care of Wayne or St. Jude's. Arrangements are by Chapel of the Valley, Wenatchee.
