Obituary

Jean Scott
Cashmere, WA
Jean Scott, 74, of Cashmere, WA, passed away on August 17, 2020, in Wenatchee, WA. Jean was born in
Michigan, to Riggs and Julia Patrick, on May 3, 1946. She was the fourth of eight children.
At an early age, they moved to the Wenatchee Valley, where she was raised and went to school. Jean enjoyed various jobs such as waitressing and cooking, before she worked as quality control for Dolco Packaging for 30 years, where she retired.
She made many friends and memories with her coworkers at Dolco, especially Shirley Johnson. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, watching the deer in her front yard and traveling with her husband. Jean loved to play slot machines all over the Pacific Northwest. She was involved in bowling leagues here in the valley, where she won many tournaments.
She married John Scott on March 8, 1968, in Wenatchee, WA, where they then raised their family. They bought a house and some property together in Cashmere, about 40 years ago, where they shared many memories.
Jean is survived by her husband, John Scott, with 52 years of marriage; children: Randy Scott, Kimberly Greenwood, and Bobbie Scott; siblings: Bud Patrick, Betty Bruton, Mike Patrick, and Melvene Soth; grandkids: Josh Scott, Nikia Burgess (whom she was holding her hand when she passed), Troy Fryar, and Lana Rich; and several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnny Scott; brother, Bill Patrick; and sisters: Hazel (Lee) Nielson and Emma McCandless.
Jean requested no services. Her ashes will be put to rest at the Wenatchee City Cemetery. Arrangements assisted by Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
A special thank you to the care staff at Avamere, the wonderful nurses of hospice, and family.
She will be deeply missed.
