Christine Marie Brown

Christine Marie Brown, born December 30, 1970, in Seattle, WA, passed away July 14, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Her parents, Donald and Diane Brown of Chelan, WA, cared for her at home through her illness. Christine lived a vibrant life on her terms. She soaked up every opportunity for adventure and excitement. Christine achieved one of her life's dreams when she became a white water river guide. Some of her favorite times were rafting the rivers in the area, celebrating in the fun, and adventure. Always a people person and good conversationalist, she loved meeting new people and made friends easily. Christine's personality was authentic and she told it how it was. Christine loved her family. Her daughters, Amanda and Taylor, were her world. She cherished every minute with her girls, and her home is filled with good memories from every age. Christine was immensely proud and fiercely protective of her family. Christine loved sitting with her parents, listening to their stories, and spending time together. Christine loved the natural world. She was happiest outside, among the wildflowers, near the ocean beaches, rivers, and Lake Chelan. She cherished times with her friends, telling stories by the campfire, and sleeping under the stars. Christine's smile, spark, and tenacity will live on through her daughters, Amanda and Taylor, and her beloved granddaughter, Adeline. Christine was grateful to be present for the birth of her first granddaughter. Christine's faith in Christ is a great comfort to her family. She didn't preach or judge, showing her faith through love and acceptance. Christine is survived by her loving parents, Donald and Diane Brown; daughters: Amanda Marie Miller (Kirby Miller) ans Taylor Makenzie Hedges; brother, James Brown (Carrie Brown); sisters: Corinne Brown, Shari Vildor (Fabien Vildor); and nephews: Forest Brown, Francesco Vildor, and Ivan Brown; and her granddaughter, Adeline Marie Miller. The Memorial Service for Christine will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., at Berean Baptist Church, officiated by our family friend and faithful Pastor, Gordon Hyde of Chelan, WA. In lieu of flowers, and for Christine's love for animals in crisis, please consider a donation to a local Humane Society.
