Eva Anita Robison

Anita Robison, at the age of 76, went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2009. Born Eva Anita Coose on January 8, 1933, in Drew County, Arkansas to parents, James and Annie "Mama" Coose. She grew up with two brothers, Charles & Delbert and two sisters, Linda & McK. Most everyone had come to know her as Anita, others as "Neeter", wife and "Mom". Growing up on a farm, hard work was a constant companion. Plowing fields with a mule and using that same mule for riding to and from school was not uncommon. She graduated from DeWitt High School in the spring of 1950. Anita married Bill Dougan in 1952, and they had four boys; Jeffrey, who preceded her in death in April 2006, Dale, Tom and Russel. The family lived in Lynnwood for a time, then moved to Wenatchee and she called it home ever since. She worked in Housekeeping for the Deaconess Hospital and as a telephone switchboard operator for Ma-Bell. But her main "job," was caring for her family in so many different ways. An accomplished seamstress and cook, she could take pride in the things she would make for others, whether it was sewing a new jacket or dress, or even baking a pie. After 29 years together, her husband Bill, passed away in 1981. She always said, it was quite a blessing that she met Ken Robison at a church singles gathering in the spring of 1982. Three months later, they wed. Over the past 27 years, they've shared many travel adventures by trailer, motorcycle, car or truck. They also enjoyed boating on Lake Chelan. As much as she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Anita loved making her home beautiful with plants and flowers of all types. And to say she had a green thumb, would be a terrible understatement. Anita loved baseball! Rarely, if she ever missed a game on TV, she would listen to it on the radio! Go Mariners! Most importantly, Anita loved the Lord and His Word. When her health kept her at home and away from church in her later years, it didn't keep her from spending time seeking Him. Her husband Ken; her sons, Dale, Tom and Russel and one daughter-in-law, Kay, survive her. Also surviving are her sisters, Linda and McK; and her brother, Charles. In lieu of cards or flowers, the family encourages contributions to the Building Fund for Eastmont Baptist Church. Visitation will be on Monday, August 10, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Anita's Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday August 11, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Eastmont Baptist Church, located at 400 S. Kentucky Ave., in East Wenatchee. Following, will be a brief Graveside Gathering at Evergreen Memorial Park, also in East Wenatchee.
