Gary R. Clements

In Loving Memory of Gary R. Clements April 23, 1949 - December 2, 2018 Wenatchee, WA Gary was born to Merritt and Gladys Clements in Toppenish, WA. The youngest of 11 children, Gary graduated from high school in Toppenish in 1967. He enlisted in the Navy in May of 1968, and served as a QuarterMaster for a total of four years. After his active duty, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserves, until he retired on December 7, 1997 (Pearl Harbor Day), in Everett, WA. Gary's love of the military and his friends from there were his main love of life. He always honored the United States, the citizenship, the flag, and the FREEDOM it gives all of us. His heart always grieved for the lost and wounded serving us American citizens. Gary was a very loyal employee outside of the Navy. He first worked for Alpha Cine of Seattle, WA, and helped build and maintain the facility which was a film development company for the movie industry for 23 years. He also was the facilities and maintenance manager at the Everett Mall for 20 years. He retired in 2015! He left the job at the mall on Friday and started working on Monday in Wenatchee, WA. His love of tractors was next. His bucket list was fulfilled by working in the orchard industry in Wenatchee and outlying areas. He worked for Aaron Krause and learned the computer part of running the Big Boy Tractors. He was honored to work and learn about them. He really retired in 2017. Gary married the love of his life on May 21, 1999, in Maui, HI. He was preceded in death by his parents; many brothers and sisters; with the exception of sister, Gladys Graff; and brothers: Dan Jack, and Darold Clements. He is survived by Trudy, and her two sons: Gare Gene Ward of Wenatchee, WA, and Dennis Ward of Snohomish, WA; also the extra special granddaughter, Paige Ward of Wenatchee, WA. Gary had no children of his own, but collected many children in life along the way. He had many children he adopted to himself and many who adopted him. Gary's faith in Jesus Christ always was in his heart and we will look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. His favorite scripture was "If God is for Us", Who can be against Us!" He knew what Grace and Mercy was every day. He always said he never received his perfect award...That was JESUS only! A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at Sage Hills Church, 1601 Fifth St., Wenatchee, WA, with full Military Honors. A reception following will be announced.
