Linda Wilson

Linda Luanne (Hooper) Wilson passed away peacefully on August 4, 2017, at age 78, in Wenatchee, WA. She was born in Okanogan, WA, as the oldest of five children to Arthur Lynn and Mary Louise Hooper on June 1, 1939. She was a 1957 graduate of Okanogan High School, and it was during this time that she met and fell in love with Lee Franklin Wilson. They were married September 27, 1957 in Okanogan, where they had two children, Jubal Lee and Julie Lyn. In 1969, they moved to Twisp, WA, where Lee began his career with the Forest Service, which also took them to Hayden Lake, ID, Port Orchard, WA, and Corvallis, OR. Linda always considered the Methow Valley her home, and while there, she was a homemaker, school bus driver, and grocery clerk. Linda enjoyed the bible studies and fellowship of the Calvary Baptist Church, attending high school basketball games, skiing at the Loup, and being mom to her kids, who rode her bus. In later years, Linda and her sister, Mary, lived together, most recently in East Wenatchee, WA. Their close relationship was an important part of their lives. Linda was devoted to her grandchildren, and had a special relationship with her nieces, Lisa and Kristen Allison. She will be remembered as one of the truly good people in life, a devoted Christian and family woman, always there with a smile and ready to help her family and anyone in need. Her big heart and loving presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Matt Organ; daughter-in-law, Stacy Wilson; sisters: Mary Alexander, Debbie Allison (Bob); brothers: Arthur J. Hooper (Carolyn), David Hooper (Jody; grandchildren: Andy Wilson, Alex Wilson, Tanner Wilson, Nathan Burgher (Stephanie), Evan Burgher (Kara), and Thomas Organ (Tiffany); great-grandchildren: Hayden John, Emerson Burgher, Peyton Organ, Cash Organ; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Louise Hooper; her husband, Lee Wilson; and her son, Jubal Wilson. A service for Linda will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
