Marcel V. Dore'

Marcel V. "Gus" Dore' passed away peacefully June 26, 2010, at "Dore' Haven Adult Family Home" in East Wenatchee. He was born May 28, 1925, in Chicago IL to Armand and Lauria Dore'. He was one of five boys and one girl. In 1945, he married Pearl Fjelstad in Wenatchee, WA and, for the next 65 years, they lived happily ever after. They worked side by side, running Dore' Interiors, becoming a well respected fixture in downtown Wenatchee. Gus was a past member of the Wenatchee Exchange Club, Wenatchee Jr. Chamber of Commerce and the Wenatchee Elks Club. He especially enjoyed the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club. His greatest enjoyments in life were his wife, Pearl, and spending time at the many family functions. He especially enjoyed summers spent at the Lake Wenatchee cabin. Gus and the love of his life, Pearl, retired to Sun Lakes, AZ in 1987, where they enjoyed friends, golf and traveling in their motor home. In 2005, they returned to Wenatchee. He is survived by his loving wife, Pearl; children, Sandi Anderson (Jerry), Marcella Johnson (Greg) and Gary Dore' (Cindy); grandchildren, Jayson D. Hills (Bobbi), Brandon D. Hills (Lori), Garrett D. Hills (Kristi), Lindy D. Kollman (Matt), Amanda D. Johnson, Maxwell D. Johnson, Cameron Dore' (Cheri), Stacy Dore', Elise Diede (Josh) and Mitchell Dore'; great-grandchildren, Mason D. Hills, Clarisse D. Hills, Anabelle D. Kollman, Maisy D. Kollman, Fiona D. Hills, Luke D. Hills and baby Dore' due to arrive in July. All of his grand- and great-grandchildren will carry on the legacy of the Dore' name, in either their last or middle name. Gus is also survived by his brother, Raymond (Toni); brother, Leo; and sister, Madelyn. Gus was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Maurice and Roger. The Family would like to give special thanks to Jayson and Bobbi Hills and "Dore' Haven Adult Family Home" for their loving care. Gus, your family loves you and will miss you very much! Services will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the Wenatchee Cemetery.
