Patricia Christensen

Patrica Gwen Christensen, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024, surrounded by loving family members. Patricia, or Pat as she preferred, was born in Menomonie, Wisconsin, on June 17th, 1932, to Donald L. Goodrich and Marion (Jones) Goodrich. She was raised in Menomonie along with her two older brothers Jack and Don Goodrich. Pat graduated from Ripon College with degrees in home economics and biology. Shortly after her marriage to Vern Christensen in 1958, she headed out west, landing in East Wenatchee. She taught for many years at Pioneer Junior High School and then the family apple orchard was started in 1967. Pat enjoyed years of hiking and morning coffee club meetings with her many friends, playing the piano, traveling to all parts of the world, bird watching, laying in the sun and enjoying her flowers. Family members all agreed she made the best fruit pies and cinnamon rolls! Her family was very important to her and although most were far away, she kept in close contact with them, attending numerous reunions with her brothers' families and cousins. Pat also enjoyed following the activities and sports of her seven grandchildren. Pat was a member for several years of Eastmont Presbyterian Church, an avid member of the Wenatchee Chapter of the P.E.O. International, and spent several years active with the Wenatchee Hockey Association serving on the board. She has been preceded in death by her parents Donald and Marion Goodrich; brothers, Jack and Donald Goodrich (Olie). She is survived by her three children, Heidi Toigo (Mike), Kari Moore (Mike), Eric Christensen (Jennifer); seven grandchildren, Kaya, Cory, Jackson, Mara, Jacob, Tyler, and Connor. A Celebration of her life will occur from 3pm-6pm on July 9th, 2024, at the Martin Scott Winery Circle 5, 3400 10th St SE, East Wenatchee, WA. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to: P.E.O.
