Raymond Webb

Raymond Elliott Webb was born November 10, 1936, in Yakima, Washington to Marjorie Witten and Kenneth Webb. His birth made the news in the Yakima Herald as he was the fourth generation of the Taylor family born in the Yakima Valley. The family settled on a ranch in Naches. Ray was a three-sport letterman, graduated from Naches Valley High School in 1955, and then attended WSU before graduating with a BS in Chemistry from CWU. He went on to OCS with the US Coast Guard and was stationed at the Port of Seattle. While in Seattle he met Jackie Drobnick. They were married in 1963 and made their home in Seattle, where they began raising their three children, Ron, Tony and Renee. The family moved to East Wenatchee in 1972. Ray’s career in office sales spanned four decades in the Wenatchee Valley. He was active in the East Wenatchee Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis and was proud of his service to the Special Olympics. Ray “officially” retired from Wenatchee Office Supply in 2010 He and Jackie recently moved to Moses Lake, but while living in East Wenatchee and as their family grew, Ray and Jackie enjoyed time with their nine grandchildren and traveling the world. In the past five years, many great grandchildren added further joy to their retirement. Ray passed away on January 22, 2025 just before midnight in the presence of his daughter and granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother Jim. He is survived by his wife Jackie, his children, and their spouses, Ron and Bonita, Tony and Jennifer, and Renee’ and Cory Baum. Survivors also include grandchildren and their spouses and partners, Taylor, Connor and Samantha and their daughters Nia and Ivalo, Bailey and his son Nolan, Alyssa and Ramiro and their son Julian Raymond, Maddy and Gunnar and their daughter Delaney, Calista and Andria, Kaitlin, Patrick, and Tanner. Numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, and his only cousin Kay survive him. A memorial is being planned for the spring with Ray’s ashes to be interned in the Taylor family Plot at Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima Washington. Arrangements by Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
