Shannon Mae Bull

We lost our precious Shannon Mae Bull (Mitchell) suddenly on Sunday, August 15, 2010, at the age of 30, due to heart failure. Shannon was born on March 31, 1980, to Ted and Kathlene Mitchell in Wenatchee. The family moved to Orondo in 1977, where Shannon and her older brother, Shane grew up and attended Orondo Elementary and later graduating from Eastmont High School. Shannon married Kevin Bull on December 28, 2002, in Las Vegas, NV. Shannon and Kevin were best friends and loved each other dearly. They both loved children and even though they did not have a family of their own, they enjoyed many happy hours with their godchildren, nephews and little cousins. Shannon worked hard her entire life. She was multi-talented and worked at a variety of jobs for Mitchell Trucking and Paving, Inc. - everything from loader operator to flagger, parts girl to lettering trucks. She also worked as a traffic controller for several other construction companies in the valley, building a great reputation as someone willing to work long hours and help out any way she could. With two generations of racing in her blood, her love for speed and father, Ted building her cars, Shannon hit the tracks in 1999, setting lap records in the Bomber class at Wenatchee Valley's Super Oval and becoming the first woman ever to win a street stock race at the Fall Classic at Yakima Speedway. Husband, Kevin was always her biggest fan and at her side every step of the way, even on the race track in his own car! Racing and the Mitchell fleet of race cars and trucks, inspired Shannon to start her own vinyl business as operator of The Vinyl Lady. She utilized her creative side by designing and installing the graphics and the lettering on most of the race cars at WVSO every year, accumulating many other clients along the way. Shannon's beautiful smile lit up the world and melted your heart. She had a huge network of friends, who have been touched by her love, unwavering loyalty and dedication to friendship. Shannon is preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Mitchell, just three years ago and her Papa, Gene Mitchell in 1998. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Assembly of God Church, 19 McElmurry Lane, East Wenatchee. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley.
