Sherry Laverne England

Sherry Laverne England Sherry England, 55, a longtime East Wenatchee resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Sherry was born October 27, 1955, in Tonasket, WA to Bob and Louella England. She spent most of her early life in Oroville, Manson and Peshastin, WA, before moving to East Wenatchee in 1972, where she graduated from Eastmont High School in 1973. After graduation, Sherry went to work for McDougall and Sons until 1989, when she was hired by Valley Tractor and Equipment in accounts payable and she enjoyed her employment there until her death. Sherry has left behind many friends, as she was a very pleasant and happy person. She was an active member of Samara's Foundation for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where she served as Treasurer and participated in The Relay For Life for the last four years. Sherry enjoyed working in her yard, camping at Lake Chelan, playing bingo, crafting, visiting casino's, attending local plays and poker nights with her family. Sherry is survived by her mother, Louella England of East Wenatchee, WA; three brothers, Darrel England of Lyle, WA, Mike (Terri) England of Wenatchee, WA and Scott (Sandee) England of East Wenatchee, WA; two sisters, Julie Dashnaw of Cashmere, WA and Tracie (Jack) Novak of East Wenatchee, WA; three nieces and seven nephews, Mark Dashnaw of Wenatchee, WA, Jeremy Dashnaw of Cashmere, WA, Darrel (Heather) England Jr. of Vancouver, WA, Robert (Angela) England of Benning, GA, Steven (Chelsea) England of Kittitas, WA, Holly England of Lyle, WA, Kristi (Cory) Delozier of East Wenatchee, WA, Josh England of East Wenatchee, WA, Katie Ayers of Kennewick, WA and T.J. Novak of Moses Lake, WA; several great-nieces and nephews; Sherry's best friend, Shawnie Sloan and a special boy she loved dearly, Tucker (Bud) Sloan, both of Wenatchee, WA. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Lou England and Pearle and Zelma Foote; her father, Bob England; and one brother, Robbie England. A Celebration of Sherry's Life will be held Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Rocky Reach Dam at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samara's Foundation for the Blind and Visually Impaired or The American Cancer Society.
