Veda Daniels

Veda R. Daniels, 67, of East Wenatchee peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 4th after a short, but hard, fought battle with cancer. Veda was born July 15, 1956, in Wenatchee to Loyd and Hazel Musgrove. Being the only girl with four older and one younger brothers, you know she was born to be tough. Veda attended school in the Wenatchee Valley where in the 7th grade she met Dale who would become the love of her life. Veda and Dale were married on October 12, 1974, and would go on to spend the next 49.5 years side by side. Together they had three children, Jamie, Amy, and Josh whom they poured their heart and soul into raising. Veda’s greatest joy in life was watching her grandchildren grow. She was most recently blessed with two great-grandchildren who were already, at the age of 3 and 5 months, fast becoming the light of her life. To know Veda was to love her! Her laugh and sense of humor were one of a kind, but her heart and love were unmatched. If you were lucky enough to be loved by her, you know that there isn’t much she wouldn’t do for you. She had the same best friends, Eveline and Donetta for over 40 years. They became the sisters she never had. Veda also spent the last 27 years of her career at Jerry’s Auto Supply where she also built many lifelong friendships. Veda is survived by her husband, Dale; daughters, Jamie and Amy (Rodell); son, Josh (Nicole); 9 grandchildren, Jared, Jordon, Jayston, Shaylie, Kensley, Beckett, Jagger, Ashlynn, Kamden and 2 great-grandchildren, Colt and Kylee. She is also survived by her brother, Ray (Judy); brothers-in-law, Dennis (Peggy) and Danny (Marti), along with several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers, (Howard, Mel, Jim and Marlin). A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at 11:00 am at Eastmont Park Shelter 4, behind the pool. Please bring yourself, the best Veda memories and most importantly your appetite because we all know that having a get-together with lots of food was her thing.
