Zach Rupert

Zachary “Zach” James Rupert was just 22 years old when he passed away on Wednesday July 5th, 2023. Zachary was born on April 10th, 2001, in Spokane Valley Washington to Verona Thomas and Douglas Rupert. Zachary spent the last 22 years being a radiant light to the world and showing others that even when things are hard, there is a way to get through it if we keep our heads up high. Zachary grew up in Spokane Valley and went to many schools in the Central Valley School District. While attending North Pines Middle School Zachary played football and loved every second of it. He attended Dishman Hills High School and worked incredibly hard to get his high school diploma. He then went on to try college at Spokane Community College, but found that he was a hands-on person. He found the job of his dreams working at Restoration 1, which he stated changed his whole life. His work was his passion, as he served people who were going through some of the hardest times. Zachary’s bright smile and personality will be missed by so many. Make others smile and love on them, as you never know what is happening in their life. Zachary was close to his family, friends and his beloved cat Lucifer. Zachary’s cat was his entire world and nothing could ever change that. We as his family will continue to make sure that he gets the love that he got from his dad. Zachary is survived by his mother Verona Thomas, father Douglas Rupert, his siblings Shealyn Luckey, Taylor and Trent Rupert, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and so many amazing friends. Zachary is also survived by his girlfriend, Aryanna Kanoe Luga, who was the love of his life and who he wanted to marry. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 29th at Valley Real Life Church starting at 1:00 pm. We ask that you come dressed as you would if you were seeing Zachary, as funerals made him uncomfortable. A reception will follow as we will spend time talking about the impact that Zachary made in all of our lives.
